What is Anticlastic Jewelry?

When discussing anticlastic jewelry, the term “anticlastic” refers to the unique curved shape of these copper jewelry pieces, which is achieved using specialized metal forming techniques. Anticlastic jewelry involves two curves, which extend at a perpendicular angle or in opposite directions.

If you examine one of our copper bangle or cuff bracelets, you'll notice there is a curve on the surface of the metal; the second curve in the metal forms the actual bracelet. It's these multiple curve features that characterize anticlastic jewelry pieces.
